Paris set to hold Smart City event to clean up 'urban living'



Paris, as well as other cities throughout Europe, is set to invest in what is being called 'smart technologies' that will improve the overall quality of the urban environment. This announcement comes from ThomasNet and Environmental Technology, saying that new developments in technology for Smart Cities will be discussed at an international festival that is hosted by the University of Paris.

On the night of Monday to Tuesday, Ile-de-France will switch to digital television and join the thirteen regions and 46% of French households who have already dropped analog broadcasting. The transition to all digital TV - which will also be sufficient to release spectrum for new channels and increase access to mobile internet - a concern once a pool of nearly 12 million.
